Description For Amazon Technologies Systems Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE)

As an Amazon Technologies Systems Engineer in the Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE), you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving Amazon's Mechatronics and Sustainable Packaging systems within Fulfillment Centers. This position combines systems engineering, data analytics, and reliability engineering to ensure optimal performance of robotics and automation equipment across Amazon's global network. You'll analyze data from PLCs, sensors, and maintenance records to drive improvements in system reliability and efficiency. The role requires strong technical skills in Python and SQL, along with expertise in reliability engineering and Six Sigma methodologies. You'll work cross-functionally with maintenance teams, engineers, and product owners to implement solutions that enhance equipment uptime and performance. Responsibilities For Amazon Technologies Systems Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE)

  • Be the primary point of contact for internal customers and partners
  • Drive implementation of maintenance, repair, and supportability solutions
  • Lead cross-functional engineering and product support teams
  • Analyze large-scale data from PLCs, sensors, and controls equipment
  • Drive problems to root cause and manage implementation programs
  • Develop and deliver data-driven analyses
  • Lead Kaizen and process improvement events
  • Design and implement new preventative maintenance standards
  • Develop automated reporting through SQL and Quicksight
  • Provide guidance to maintenance teams and field technicians

Requirements For Amazon Technologies Systems Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE)

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Experience in reliability engineering, manufacturing engineering, or lifecycle engineering
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Experience coding in Python, SQL, or R
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
