Description For ASIC Design Verification Engineer, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is Amazon's ambitious initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities worldwide. As an ASIC Design Verification Engineer, you'll join the team responsible for developing digital chip SOCs for satellite communications. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape groundbreaking wireless solutions with minimal legacy constraints.

The position involves working with cutting-edge verification technologies and methodologies, including UVM, SystemC, and DPI-C, to ensure the quality and reliability of complex ASIC designs. You'll be responsible for implementing comprehensive verification environments, developing test plans, and working closely with design and systems teams to validate functionality across multiple platforms including FPGA and emulation systems.

The role requires strong technical expertise in digital verification, particularly in communication systems, with hands-on experience in C/C++ programming and scripting. Responsibilities For ASIC Design Verification Engineer, Project Kuiper

  • Implement state of the art verification environment to test RTL against reference Matlab/C models
  • Develop detailed test plans and write tests, run regressions, collect coverage matrices
  • Write tests in C/C++ to execute on embedded CPU
  • Develop tests for FPGA and emulation platforms
  • Run formal verification of complex blocks
  • Work with design and communication systems team on system level verification
  • Develop automated environment for regression testing

Requirements For ASIC Design Verification Engineer, Project Kuiper

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Communications Engineering or Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in verification preferably in communication systems
  • 2+ years in UVM, C/C++ and scripting
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
