The Amazon Devices team is seeking an ASIC Methodology/CAD Engineer to join their Silicon and Systems Group. This role is part of the team that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics, including the Kindle family of products, Fire tablets, Fire TV, Amazon Echo, and the Astro personal robot.
As an ASIC Methodology/CAD engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining automated design flows that enhance the efficiency and quality of ASIC products. The position requires expertise in hardware design tools, scripting languages, and verification methodologies. You'll work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of next-generation Amazon devices.
The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python, along with experience in hardware description languages like Verilog or SystemVerilog. Knowledge of ASIC development workflows and version control systems is essential. Amazon offers competitive compensation with a base salary range of $104,000 to $212,200 depending on location, plus additional benefits including medical insurance and 401k. The position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, where you'll work with talented engineers in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional results for customers.
Responsibilities For ASIC Methodology/CAD Engineer, Silicon and Systems Group
- Create and maintain automated design flows for ASIC products
- Develop automated flows for improving the SoC design process
- Build robust, scalable tools for hardware and software verification
- Build/deploy data-management tools for regression and coverage data
- Evaluate new tools/versions to improve ASIC flows
- Maintain and improve existing infrastructure
- Deliver high quality code
Requirements For ASIC Methodology/CAD Engineer, Silicon and Systems Group
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience writing C/C++
- Strong Python coding skills
- Familiarity reading and writing Verilog or SystemVerilog
- Experience using git for revision control
- Basic Linux experience
