Responsibilities For Automation Engineer - Federal Way, WA

  • Serve as site expert for maintaining critical automation systems
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering teams, and Safety in supporting MHE systems optimization
  • Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems
  • Monitor MHE metrics and address system performance issues
  • Provide first-level escalation support for site technicians
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes
  • Perform and analyze building System Assessments
  • Communicate technical issues and project timelines to stakeholders

Requirements For Automation Engineer - Federal Way, WA

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, engineering technology or 2+ years professional/military experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or 2+ years PLC programming experience
  • Experience with PLC-controlled automation in continuous process environment
  • Experience with robotics work cells and control systems
  • Experience with Ladder Logic and structure programming
  • Experience with electrical theory, robotics, and automated equipment
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
