Amazon's Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) Central Services is seeking an Automation Solutions Engineer to join their team. Responsibilities For Automation Solutions Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE)

  • Coordinate and plan work activities for Control Systems Engineers
  • Work closely with various teams including FC Operations, Operations Engineering, FC Start-up
  • Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems
  • Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations
  • Act as first level escalation support for site level Control Systems Engineers
  • Mentor CSEs, CSLs and CSTs within assigned building
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes
  • Partner with operations leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers
  • Travel up to 70%

Requirements For Automation Solutions Engineer, Reliability and Automation Engineering Team (RAE)

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related engineering field OR 5+ years of equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an Automation Solutions Engineer or similar role
  • Experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components and automated equipment
  • Knowledge on programming software such as RSLogix, Studio 5000, FT View, and other controls software platforms
  • Experience identifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying motor controls
  • Industrial electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting
  • Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing electrical drawings and schematics
