Amazon's Advertising Trust organization is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to drive data-driven insights and metrics for both internal and external stakeholders. This role is crucial in helping internal teams understand how policies impact customers and enabling advertisers to better comprehend their advertising performance on Amazon.

The position sits within the Advertising Trust organization, which is fundamental to maintaining customer trust in Amazon's growing advertising technology business. With hundreds of thousands of active self-service advertisers globally, this team develops policies and builds systems to ensure advertising compliance across 30+ countries, considering regulatory, legal, regional, and cultural expectations.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll work with vast data sources, developing comprehensive reporting solutions and data warehouse architectures. You'll be responsible for creating actionable insights through data visualization and analytical solutions, while partnering with various technical and product teams to drive initiatives forward.

The role requires strong technical expertise in data analysis, visualization tools, and database technologies. You'll use tools like SQL, Python, and various BI platforms to transform complex data into clear, actionable insights. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,600 to $185,000 per year, based on geographic location, plus additional benefits and potential equity compensation.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Advertising Trust Data

  • Develop a deep understanding of Advertising's vast data sources
  • Conduct deep dive analyses and translate requirements into effective data visualizations
  • Imagine and develop new ways to present data that adds value and insight
  • Proactively identify projects and analyses that help improve Ads Customer Trust
  • Partner closely with Tech, Product and Data engineering teams

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Advertising Trust Data

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
