Your work will span the entire BI landscape, from data ingestion and storage to processing and automated self-serve reporting. You'll collaborate closely with business, finance, and product teams across customer service, operations, returns, and sustainability organizations.

The role combines technical expertise with business acumen, requiring strong SQL and Python skills, experience with data visualization tools, and the ability to translate complex business problems into actionable insights. You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable solutions for metrics, reports, and dashboards while ensuring data quality and optimization.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Customer Service

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable solutions for metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards
  • Translate business problems into analysis requirements
  • Use analytical and statistical rigor to drive business decisions
  • Develop queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects
  • Troubleshoot operational data-quality issues
  • Review and audit existing ETL jobs and queries
  • Recommend improvements to back-end data sources

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Customer Service

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL and Python for data processing
