Join Amazon's Defect Elimination Analytics team as a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) and shape the future of customer satisfaction. In this role, you'll leverage data to identify defects, understand root causes, and drive improvements based on real business needs. Working in a startup-like environment within Amazon, you'll collaborate with Software Developers, Data Engineers, Research Scientists, and Program & Product Managers.

You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable analytics systems, developing automated data pipelines, and creating user-friendly dashboards that provide crucial insights into customer feedback and product performance. The role combines technical expertise with business acumen as you'll partner directly with various teams to implement KPIs and drive data infrastructure improvements.

This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced big data technologies and collaborate on global issue detection models involving statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques. You'll apply your analytical skills to transform complex datasets into actionable intelligence, making a direct impact on Amazon's customer experience.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Customer Service

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, automated systems, reports, and dashboards
  • Partner with operations, business, economist, and ML teams to define and implement KPIs
  • Develop end-to-end automation of data pipelines
  • Extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets
  • Serve as liaison between business and technical teams
  • Collaborate with scientists on global issue detection models

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Customer Service

Python
  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
  • Experience applying basic statistical methods (e.g. regression) to difficult business problems
  • Bachelor's degree
