Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Devices

The Amazon Devices organization is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their International Devices Data Services (IDDS) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with big data across Amazon's diverse devices ecosystem, including Kindle, FireTV, and Echo/Alexa products. The IDDS team's mission is to enable data-driven decision-making by providing data, reporting, and actionable insights to business stakeholders across APAC, Brazil, EMEA, and India regions.

The ideal candidate will combine excellent technical skills with strong analytical abilities and communication skills. They will work closely with Sales & Marketing teams, Marketing Managers, Data Engineers, and Analysts across the Amazon Devices organization. The role involves building scalable reporting solutions, developing self-serve tools, and executing analyses to inform business decisions.

Key responsibilities include owning the design and maintenance of metrics, reports, and dashboards, championing data quality best practices, and working with big data to drive customer insights. The team environment is collaborative and international, combining Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Engineers, and Technical Program Managers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.

This position requires expertise in SQL, ETL processes, and data visualization tools like Tableau/QuickSight. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big while maintaining attention to detail, and capable of translating complex analytics into clear business recommendations. They will work with various data sources across Amazon products & services, including Alexa, Prime, and Prime Video, to develop innovative solutions that drive business value.
