Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Last Mile team in Tokyo, Japan. This role is crucial in managing the delivery of millions of products weekly to Amazon's customers, focusing on achieving on-time delivery cost-effectively. The position involves building analysis, reporting, automation, and visualization dashboards to support Amazon Logistics' growing business in Japan.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of data and business, using their technical expertise to retrieve, integrate, and visualize critical data that improves the efficiency of the package delivery network. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Logistics

  • Lead data-driven presentations to executive stakeholders
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to prioritize and define AMZL Japan's data and BI development needs
  • Work with scientists, global supply chain, transportation, and logistics teams
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into operations and business challenges
  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends in last-mile logistics
  • Develop queries and visualizations for both ad-hoc requests and ongoing reporting needs

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Amazon Logistics

Python
  • 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
