Amazon Business Customer Support (ABCS) is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to drive impactful analytics and metrics development. This cross-functional role involves collaboration with finance, engineering, and leadership teams across ABCS, Amazon Customer Service, and Amazon Business. The position focuses on developing strategic reports, UI design, and leading projects that influence worldwide operations decision-making.

The role combines technical expertise with business acumen, requiring strong skills in data analysis, ETL processes, and visualization tools. You'll work with cutting-edge big data techniques and machine learning systems to build automated solutions that directly impact customer experience and operations. The team environment encourages innovation and fast-paced problem-solving.

As a BIE, you'll be responsible for designing database structures, creating data pipelines, and maintaining automated reporting systems. You'll conduct deep-dive analyses to identify improvement opportunities and work with global teams to standardize metrics. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Customer Service

  • Build next generation metrics and drive business analytics
  • Develop strategic reports and design User Interface (UI)
  • Build and maintain automated reporting and dashboards
  • Create data pipelines using ETL connections/SQL queries
  • Conduct deep dives to identify root causes and improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with finance and business partners for data requirements
  • Maintain ABCS databases and data pipelines

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Customer Service

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL and Python for data processing and modeling
