The Worldwide Amazon Stores (WWAS) and G&A HR Partner (HRP) team is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to drive critical data-driven decisions for senior leadership. This role combines technical expertise in data engineering with business acumen to deliver actionable insights. You'll work with large datasets, build automated analytics solutions, and partner directly with senior leaders to optimize HR operations and strategy.

The position requires strong SQL and Python skills, with experience in AWS technologies and data warehousing. You'll be responsible for creating scalable data pipelines, developing analytical models, and translating complex data into clear business recommendations. The role offers exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence HR strategy across Amazon's global operations.

As part of the WWAS G&A HRP team, you'll help provide high-judgment guidance to managers worldwide while ensuring operational efficiency. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, Customer Service People Experience and Technology (CS PXT)

  • Build data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses to answer business questions
  • Create scalable, efficient, automated processes for data analyses and model development
  • Understand the business and generate various business insights
  • Troubleshoot data, analyses, and code
  • Generate business review metrics for HR leaders
  • Lead projects from start to finish including project management
  • Field and resolve ad hoc analytical needs for the WWAS & G&A HRP leadership team

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Customer Service People Experience and Technology (CS PXT)

Python
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis
  • Experience with AWS technologies
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
