Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, DSP Analytics

Amazon's DSP Analytics team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to enhance their Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program through data-driven solutions. This role sits at the intersection of logistics innovation and data analytics, focusing on improving Amazon's last-mile delivery experience. As a BIE, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies and cloud solutions to develop analytics products that directly impact delivery quality and performance.

The position offers an opportunity to work with Amazon's extensive data infrastructure, including Redshift, AWS S3, and various internal platforms. You'll collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and organizational leaders to deliver end-to-end data solutions. The role requires expertise in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools, combining technical skills with business acumen to drive actionable insights.

You'll be joining the core Amazon DSP BI team, a relatively new group focused on enabling data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, DSP Analytics

  • Lead the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for the Sub-Same Day (SSD) DSP Performance
  • Manage and execute entire projects from start to finish
  • Extract, transform, and load data from many data sources
  • Design, build, and maintain automated reporting and dashboards
  • Report key insight trends using statistical rigor
  • Retrieve and analyze data using Amazon's data technologies
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and senior leadership team

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, DSP Analytics

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse
  • Scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
