You'll be working on building scalable analytics solutions that directly impact Amazon's supply chain efficiency, focusing on metrics like Stock on Record Out of Stock (SoROOS) and Lost in Stock (LIS). The position offers significant autonomy to pioneer new analytical approaches and establish best practices in supply chain analytics.
As part of SCOT's Regional team in India, you'll collaborate with Scientists, Product Managers, and Supply Chain Managers to develop high-impact products that optimize inventory management for P3P sellers. Your work will involve creating interactive dashboards, building predictive models for seasonal demand, and developing automated reporting systems.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, IN SCOT, Automated Inventory Management
- Work with Product Managers to understand customer behaviors and spot system defects
- Design and develop end-to-end analytics solutions to monitor and optimize supply chain metrics
- Create interactive dashboards and automated reporting systems
- Build predictive models for seasonal demand forecasting and inventory planning
- Create scalable solutions for tracking deal inventory readiness
- Partner with category & business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation
Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, IN SCOT, Automated Inventory Management
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
- Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling
