Amazon Payment team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (L4) to join their dynamic team that manages a global portfolio of financial products including co-branded credit cards, installment financing, and financial services marketplaces. This role combines technical expertise with business analytics to drive data-informed decisions.

The position requires someone who excels at working with large datasets and complex business contexts, with a passion for analytics and data-driven insights. You'll be responsible for building analytical and reporting capabilities, defining end-to-end metrics, and identifying growth opportunities through data analysis. The role specifically supports Japan Payment Products, requiring strong technical skills in SQL, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer (L4), Amazon Payments

  • Interfacing with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete BI solutions
  • Extracting, transforming, and loading data from various data sources
  • Evolving organization wide Self-Service platforms
  • Building metrics to analyze key inputs to forecasting systems
  • Leading complex analytical deep dives (Segmentation, A/B testing)
  • Recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting and analysis

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer (L4), Amazon Payments

Python
  • Bachelor degree in computer science engineering, economics, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, or similar quantitative field
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with business customers, gather requirements and deliver complete scalable and sustainable BI solutions
  • 2+ years work experience in analytics field and working with relational Databases
  • Self-driven, and ability to deliver on fast paced projects using extremely large data sets
  • Fluency in SQL, and deep understanding of ETL is a must
