Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, LATAM Marketplace

Amazon's LATAM Marketplace team is seeking a talented Business Intelligence Engineer to join their fast-paced, innovative environment. This role is crucial in supporting Amazon's marketplace ecosystem, which serves over 2 million sellers across 10 countries. As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing BI solutions for Amazon's marketplace operations.

The position requires a self-starter with strong analytical skills and business acumen, capable of making data-driven decisions in complex scenarios. You'll be responsible for managing your own BI projects end-to-end, from roadmap planning to stakeholder management and technical implementation. The role involves working with large-scale datasets, creating automated reporting solutions, and building data pipelines that directly impact business decision-making.

Working in the LATAM Marketplace BI team, you'll be part of a structure organized into business verticals, with regular knowledge sharing sessions. You'll have the opportunity to own one or more business verticals, driving BI projects from conception to completion. This includes developing SQL tables, KPIs, reports, dashboards, and conducting in-depth data analysis.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and visualization tools. Knowledge of AWS services is a plus. Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, LATAM Marketplace

  • Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources
  • Work closely with the team to understand business challenges and provide data/analysis
  • Design and create reports and metrics for tracking business and product success
  • Build self-service reporting platforms and automated processes for large scale data analysis
  • Write high quality SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data
  • Extract, Transform and Load data to build new reporting solutions
  • Manage local data infrastructure and work with Global teams

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, LATAM Marketplace

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
