Amazon Supply Chain is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Network Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) team, which is responsible for forecasting inventory flows across North America's Fulfillment network. This role sits within a 2-3 person analytical group and offers a Day 1 opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial team building from the ground up.
The position involves developing forecasting models and creating advanced visualization solutions to analyze and present forecast data to senior stakeholders (up to SVP level). You'll work at the intersection of data science and business operations, collaborating with multiple teams including Supply Chain Optimization Technology (SCOT), Transportation, Labor Planning, and Finance.
Key responsibilities include researching forecasting techniques, building new models to improve accuracy, and developing data solutions that help optimize Amazon's vast fulfillment network. You'll be instrumental in managing everything from vendor/seller receipts to shipments from Fulfillment Centers, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled efficiently and cost-effectively.
The role requires strong technical skills in Python and SQL, experience with AWS technologies, and the ability to handle large-scale data sets. You'll need excellent communication skills to present complex analyses to senior leadership and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $89,600 to $185,000 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
