Description For Business Intelligence Engineer, ROW Sharp Team

Amazon's ROW (Rest of World) central team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Sharp Team, focusing on driving customer experience and cost improvement across multiple regions including India, Japan, and Emerging Countries (Brazil, Mexico, MENA, Singapore, Australia). This role combines data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence to optimize supply chain operations.

The position requires a strong technical background in data analysis, visualization, and statistical methods, along with the ability to translate complex business problems into actionable insights. You'll be working with large-scale data sets to build and maintain critical metrics across supply chain functions, develop data models, and conduct advanced analysis to identify system algorithm improvement opportunities.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll collaborate with both local business teams and multiple SCOT teams, focusing on fulfillment experience optimization, inventory placement, S&OP planning, and inbound/removal processes. The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the growth of Amazon's global operations.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence tools, combined with strong programming skills in Python and SQL.   • Metrics build-up/maintenance across all supply chain functions
  • Translating business questions into specific analytical questions using Statistical methods
  • Simulations and modeling with internal or external tools to study complex supply chain use cases
  • Metrics related deep dive, call-outs on weekly and monthly basis

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, ROW Sharp Team

Python
  • 5+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python)
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
