Amazon's People Experience Technology Central Science (PXTCS) team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Survey Science team. This role combines data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence to help understand and improve employee experiences across Amazon globally. The position sits at the intersection of people analytics and data engineering, focusing on building scalable solutions for employee listening and insights.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work with complex datasets and build solutions that directly impact Amazon's global workforce. You'll be part of the Central Science Team, which uses economics, behavioral science, statistics, and machine learning to improve both Amazon's operations and employees' work experiences. The team's interdisciplinary nature combines science, research, design, and engineering to deliver measurable improvements.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, creating analytical solutions, and building self-service tools that help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.   • Own Business Intelligence solutions focused on employee listening
  • Work cross functionally between software teams, science teams, and business stakeholders
  • Build business intelligence solutions surfacing employee insights
  • Model listening data for analytics, science, and product use cases
  • Define new metrics and influence products and programs
  • Scale data access and develop reproducible analysis
  • Develop self-service tools for stakeholders
  • Perform model refreshes and updates
  • Drive operational excellence for data ingestion and transformation
  • Aggregate and analyze data from disparate sources
  • Tune query performance using profiling tools and SQL

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, Survey Science, People eXperience Technology Central Science (PXTCS)

Python
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience developing and presenting recommendations of new metrics
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL and Python to process data for modeling
