Amazon's Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join their Data team. The position involves working with senior leaders and principal PMs to generate insights and deep dives into core metrics that impact organizational strategic decisions.

They will be responsible for communicating project roadmaps, prioritization, and release notes to various stakeholder groups including leadership.

Responsibilities For Business Intelligence Engineer, WHS Data

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of BI solutions for complex problems
  • Conduct deep dive analyses of business problem statements
  • Identify opportunities and key criteria to drive analytical reporting and business strategy
  • Produce written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders
  • Simplify and automate reporting, audits, and other data-driven activities
  • Partner with Data Engineering to enhance data infrastructure
  • Develop and drive best practices in data integrity, consistency, analysis, validations, and documentation

Requirements For Business Intelligence Engineer, WHS Data

Python
  • 4+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
