As a Cloud Application Architect in our Professional Services team, you'll engage in a wide variety of business-critical, high-profile projects for customers and partners, helping them leverage the ever-evolving AWS platform. The role involves designing and implementing cloud-native applications, architecting scalable solutions, and working directly with customers to optimize their cloud journey.
Key responsibilities include helping customers architect scalable, highly available solutions using AWS services, developing cloud-optimized applications, and implementing DevOps practices. You'll serve as a technical leader, working alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams while providing deep software development expertise in cloud architecture and design patterns.
The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of large-scale software development experience, strong proficiency in modern programming languages, and extensive knowledge of cloud technologies. Experience with CI/CD, Canadian Federal and Provincial compliance standards, and bilingual fluency in French and English are essential.

Responsibilities For Cloud Application Architect, Public Sector Professional Services
- Help customers architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services
- Architect and develop customer applications to be cloud optimized
- Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teams
- Provide deep software development knowledge with respect to cloud architecture, design patterns and programming
- Implement DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment
- Work as both an infrastructure and application development specialist
Requirements For Cloud Application Architect, Public Sector Professional Services
- 6+ years experience of large-scale software development or application engineering
- Recent coding experience in two or more modern programming languages
- 3+ years Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- 2+ years experience in the design and provision of cloud technologies
- 2+ years experience with Canadian Federal and Provincial compliance and security standards
- Fluent in French and English
