AWS Cloud Support Engineers work with a diverse customer base ranging from small startups to large enterprises, providing expert technical advice. You'll handle customer inquiries through various channels including phone, email, and instant messaging, using your expertise to investigate cases and identify root causes while understanding each customer's unique needs and considerations.

At AWS, we embrace daily challenges and learn new technologies, understanding how AWS cloud services are applied across different industries and scales. You'll collaborate with internal AWS teams, including Technical Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Development Managers, and have opportunities to work with top Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and AWS Service Development Teams worldwide.

As a Database Cloud Support Engineer, you'll specifically focus on database technologies, working with services like PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, Aurora, and Amazon DocumentDB. You'll help customers with database administration, optimization, and migration to AWS services. The role requires strong technical knowledge in database systems, Linux administration, and networking concepts.

The position offers flexible work schedules with no on-call requirements, following a follow-the-sun model. Responsibilities For Cloud Support Engineer - Database

  • Work with a wide range of customers from small startups to large enterprises providing technical advice
  • Handle customer inquiries through phone, email and instant messaging
  • Investigate cases and identify root causes while understanding customer needs
  • Collaborate with internal AWS teams including Technical Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Development Managers
  • Work with database services including PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, Aurora and Amazon DocumentDB
  • Help customers migrate their databases to AWS services
  • Create or guide training courses, write technical articles, and participate in AWS events

  • Experience with basic optimization and troubleshooting in relational databases

  • Basic networking concepts knowledge (OSI model, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP)
  • Proficient in Chinese communication and intermediate English skills
