AWS Support Engineering team (formerly Premium Support) is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer (Linux) to provide technical assistance to customers using AWS cloud services. This role is part of the team providing 24/7 Japanese technical support through web forms, phone, and chat.
The Cloud Support Engineer's primary responsibility is helping customers innovate through technical expertise. Through daily customer interactions, you'll engage with various use cases, creating a natural learning environment. You'll also play a crucial role in providing feedback to service development teams about AWS service challenges and improvements identified through customer inquiries.
The position is part of the Linux profile team, which handles one of 10 technical areas among AWS's 200+ services. You'll be working on the front lines dealing with Linux environment troubleshooting, system building support, virtualization, storage, and cloud migration services.

The role requires strong technical skills in Linux and related domains, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills in both Japanese and English (primarily reading and writing). You'll be working from either Tokyo or Osaka, contributing to AWS's mission of supporting customers in their cloud journey.
