Join AWS Support Engineering team as a Cloud Support Engineer specializing in Linux systems. This role focuses on providing technical support to customers using AWS cloud services, with emphasis on Linux environments. You'll be part of a 24/7 Japanese-language support team, working during regular business hours with no night shifts required.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you'll troubleshoot complex technical issues, assist customers with system architecture, and provide guidance on AWS best practices. The role involves working with over 200 AWS services categorized into 10 technical domains, with specific focus on Linux environments, virtualization, storage, and cloud migration services.

Your daily activities will include mastering the latest AWS technologies, collaborating with AWS architects and service teams, improving support processes, creating technical content, and engaging with a global engineering community. The position offers unique insights into cloud infrastructure, access to AWS services for learning, and opportunities to grow alongside talented engineers worldwide.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in Linux systems with excellent communication skills. While Japanese fluency is required, English reading and writing abilities are necessary for collaboration with international teams. AWS provides translation tools to support global communication.

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer I (Linux)

Linux
  • Experience in managing and operating applications on Linux/UNIX systems
  • Experience in troubleshooting and improving services running on Linux/UNIX systems
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewalls
  • Excellent Japanese communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Ability to work 8-hour shifts between 8:00 and 20:00, including weekend rotations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
