Description For Cloud Support Engineer I (Storage and Content Delivery)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Support Engineering team is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer I specializing in Storage and Content Delivery (SCD). This role focuses on providing technical support for AWS cloud services, particularly in storage solutions like S3, NFS, Lustre, and content delivery services including CDN and video streaming.

The position involves working with AWS's extensive service portfolio, divided into 10 technical areas (profiles). As an SCD profile engineer, you'll handle storage services, backup solutions, Content Delivery Network (CDN), video streaming services, and video analysis streaming services.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Learn and implement the latest AWS technologies
  • Collaborate with AWS architects and service teams to improve services based on customer support experience
  • Manage critical event communication with customers
  • Drive support process improvements and enhance customer technical support experience
  • Create technical content including tutorials, articles, and how-to videos
  • Engage with leading engineers worldwide

The Support Engineering team provides 24/7 Japanese technical support through web forms, phone, and chat. With support centers across multiple time zones, there's no need for night shifts, enabling a healthy work-life balance.

Technical skills required include storage expertise (including backup systems) or content delivery knowledge (including video streaming). Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English are essential.
