Description For Cloud Support Engineer - Media and Content Delivery (MCD), AWS SE (SCD)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.

As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will:

  • Learn at an accelerated pace how to use and leverage many different cloud technologies to help our customers succeed
  • Act as the Cloud Ambassador across AWS products
  • Support services focusing on distributed cloud infrastructure
  • Solve customer cases through various contact channels (telephone, email, and web/live chat)
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions
  • Drive initiatives to improve support-related processes and customer experience
  • Provide feedback to internal AWS teams on service improvements
  • Work on critical, highly complex customer problems spanning multiple AWS services
  • Continuously learn groundbreaking technologies and develop new technical skills
  • Act as an interviewer in hiring processes and coach/mentor new team members

The role supports technologies across Data and Storage, Content delivery, and Media and Streaming technologies. It requires flexibility to work 5 days a week (occasionally on weekends) on a rotational basis.

Requirements For Cloud Support Engineer - Media and Content Delivery (MCD), AWS SE (SCD)

Linux
  • 1+ years of software development, or 1+ years of technical support experience
  • Understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP and UDP, coupled with Linux or Windows skills
  • Knowledge of client/server and distributed systems architectures
  • Knowledge of Simple Email Service (SES), AWS CloudFront or Media Streaming and Content Services
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting email services using SMTP protocol
