The AWS Region Services team is seeking a cleared Cloud Systems Engineer to support cloud security services for the U.S. Intelligence Community. This role is part of Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world's leading cloud platform known for pioneering cloud computing and continuous innovation.

The position focuses on managing and scaling massive distributed systems for security operations, with a strong emphasis on automation and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will work alongside security engineers and service development teams to deploy and maintain critical security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.

Key responsibilities include implementing mechanisms to improve availability metrics, reduce latency, and develop operational tools that enhance service velocity. The role requires a strategic mindset for scaling security systems and improving business operations through automation and innovation.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $105,200 to $188,200 per year, based on geographic location, plus additional benefits including medical coverage and 401k. The role requires a TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and is based in Seattle, WA.

  • 3+ years of systems administration experience Linux/Unix in production environments
  • 1+ years of experience working with scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python)
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, SSH, HTTP, TCP/IP and other common network protocols
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
