Description For Control Systems Engineer Manager - Tracy, CA

Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is hiring for a Control Systems Engineer Manager! Our Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME) team is integral to the success of Amazon worldwide. They manage risks, minimize system downtime, and find innovative ways to improve the way we work. Key job responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and plan work activities for the Control Systems Techs/Leads
  • Work closely with building Operations, Operations Engineering, FC Start up Team, AFT Software teams, ACES team, and Safety
  • Understand, maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems
  • Monitor MHE metrics and partner with maintenance/operations for system performance issues
  • Act as first level escalation support for the Control Systems Techs/Leads
  • Mentor Control System Technicians (CST) and Control System Leads (CSL)
  • Facilitate Failure Analysis and Incident Review processes
  • Apply subject matter expertise in material handling and electronic systems
  • Partner with other building Operations leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers
  • Utilize building network support resources
  • Communicate technical issues and project timelines
  • Assist with skill assessments for the Technical positions
  • Handle flexible work load
  • Participate in AE conference calls and coordinate with AE central team
  • Provide weekly site controls reliability information
  • Travel up to 20% post-launch, 50% or more travel requirement pre-launch
