Amazon is seeking a Senior Controls Systems Engineer to join their RME Automation team, focusing on maintaining and developing software solutions for one of the world's largest Reliability and Maintenance Engineering enterprises. This role combines traditional software engineering with industrial automation, working across the entire automation pyramid from device level to enterprise systems. The position involves developing Industry 4.0 solutions, integrating cloud systems with low-level automation, and implementing machine learning for predictive maintenance.

The role is part of the Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP) Team, which is crucial in transforming machine data into automated maintenance actions. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies, including AWS services, PLCs, and industrial automation systems, while collaborating with top engineers in the industry. The position requires strong software development skills, systems architecture knowledge, and experience with industrial control systems.

  • Support and maintain software solutions for Reliability, Maintenance Engineering (RME) enterprise
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy new software systems and automation improvements
  • Work with AWS services and field infrastructure

  • Maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection and reporting

Requirements For Controls Systems Engineer, Maintenance Automation Platform

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as Java, Python
  • 3+ years of programming with PLC platforms (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.) IEC 61131-3
  • 2+ years of designing or architecting systems experience
  • 2+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment
  • 2+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation
  • Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing or monitoring
