Description For Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Infrastructure Delivery Manager to join their expanding Infrastructure Operations team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing data center operations, with a focus on network capacity delivery and equipment implementation. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, overseeing a growing team while ensuring zero-rework delivery of network capacity.

The role involves managing the implementation and delivery of inbound capacity and equipment, overseeing structured cabling across Amazon's data center platform, and leading a team of technicians. Key responsibilities include conducting daily safety inspections, managing hardware installations, coordinating team resources, and driving process improvements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in data center technology, team management, and a strong understanding of network infrastructure.   • Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators
  • Manage inbound hardware installation from receiving through deployment stages
  • Manage the installation of cabling infrastructure in a data center environment
  • Guide, train and educate staff on best practices
  • Manage tasks and deliverables across projects
  • Provide weekly reporting to data center managers
  • Coordinate team resources for project and delivery needs
  • Recruit and train data technicians
  • Host weekly staff meetings
  • Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements
  • Conduct daily in-person safety inspections

Requirements For Data Center Infrastructure Delivery Manager

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in management/team lead function
  • 2-3 years of experience in a data center technology role
  • Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
  • TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Experience in process improvement and automation
  • Organizational and planning skills
