Amazon's Demand Science Optimization (DSO) team is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Devices Sales & Marketing division. This role sits at the intersection of data, software, and analytics, working with cutting-edge AWS technologies including S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, Lambda, APIs, and Glue.
As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for analyzing large amounts of business data, developing metrics, and building data solutions that enable Amazon to continually delight customers worldwide. You'll work alongside Product Managers, Software Engineers, Scientists, and Business Intelligence Engineers to automate and scale analysis, making data more actionable for business management at scale.
The DSO team builds sophisticated software systems utilizing Machine Learning (ML/AI/LLM) and economic modeling to address device-related challenges in inventory management, demand forecasting, pricing, and allocation. The team's work directly impacts billions of dollars in allocation decisions across Amazon's diverse product portfolio, including popular devices like Alexa, Kindle, Ring, and Blink.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining complex data solutions, participating in code reviews and design discussions, implementing efficient resource utilization, and ensuring data quality.
