Data Engineer II, eCS Data Engineering and Analytics

Join Amazon's eCommerce Services (eCS) team as a Data Engineer II, where you'll be at the heart of building systems that power Amazon's massive e-commerce operations. The role focuses on developing data engineering solutions that process business and customer data for systems handling privacy, identity, purchase experience, ordering, shipping, tax, and financial integration.

The eCS Data Engineering and Analytics team provides crucial reports to Amazon business teams, enabling global scale expansion. You'll work on architecture for Enterprise DW solutions across multiple platforms, creating and managing large datasets while collaborating with business analysts and engineers. Your work will directly impact retail customer experience, a key component of Amazon's flywheel.

You'll be responsible for developing scalable ETL processes, working with AWS services like Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, and Lambda, while also utilizing internal BDT tools. The role requires strong technical skills in data engineering and SQL, combined with business acumen to deliver data services that influence daily decision-making.

This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical data systems that support Amazon's hundreds of billions in annual worldwide revenue.
