Database Engineer

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics (FTR) is seeking a Database Engineer to join their Central Support Team in Hyderabad, India. This role sits at the intersection of database management and automation, supporting Amazon's global fulfillment network.

The position involves designing, developing, and managing mission-critical persistence solutions that power FTR operations. As a Database Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining highly complex, confidential database systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Your daily activities will include collaborating with other engineers to deploy new databases through automated systems, providing operational support, and implementing automated solutions for operational challenges.

The Platform Engineering Database Engineering Team plays a crucial role in supporting multiple critical Amazon systems, including Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT), Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT), WW Customer Returns (WWCR), Gift Cards, and Amazon Payments systems. They handle everything from engineering and architecture to operations and scaling of databases.
