Amazon's Transportation EDI team aims to automate all transactions with its global partners. The Transportation EDI team meets this critical role by maintaining the EDI technical standards, identifying integration solutions to business needs and constantly improving the effectiveness of our processes. The EDI Engineer partners with Amazon business teams and partners worldwide to identify new offerings and continuously improve the EDI integration process, current offerings and data quality. Additional tasks include maintenance of the Amazon EDI specifications, mapping and partner configurations.
The scope of this role includes both operational support as well as new implementation development. To be successful, this candidate requires mastery of proven problem solving, communication and leadership skills. The ability to coordinate efforts across multiple teams (collaborating with both technical and business) is key to this position. You will be able to manage communication and navigate time zones in a 24/7 production environment across an international team. You will be able to participate in rotating on-call duties and operational defect management for high volume EDI and API traffic.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
