Description For Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Blink

Ring's mission is to make neighborhoods safer with effective, affordable home security solutions that are accessible to everyone. The ASIC team within Ring/Blink builds differentiated silicon for security cameras, doorbells and floodlight cameras. Our silicon is optimized for long battery life and delivering world class features optimized for our use cases.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be building low level software including drivers that interfaces directly with ASIC. This software will be provided to internal customers for developing IoT products. You will be part of a strong team in a fast-paced start-up environment where agile development is embraced and innovation is encouraged. Key job responsibilities:

  • Develop low level device libraries that is consumed by higher level SDK
  • Develop device drivers using the low level libraries
  • Test the software using software simulation and FPGA based emulation
  • Measure performance of various components including power and bandwidth
  • Have prior experience in BSP (Board Support Package)

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
