As an Embedded Software Dev Engineer on the Kuiper Team, you'll be at the forefront of developing critical software for consumer electronic products that will connect users to this revolutionary satellite network.

The role involves working within the BSP software engineering team, where you'll design and implement embedded software crucial for Project Kuiper products. You'll be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, working with various programming languages including C, C++, and Rust. The position requires expertise in real-time embedded software, Linux, and RTOS systems.

Responsibilities For Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Kuiper Team

  • Design and implement embedded software for terrestrial devices within Project Kuiper system
  • Participate in all phases of SDLC including requirements gathering, design, code, test
  • Develop embedded software in assembly, C, C++, Rust or other languages
  • Review schematics, logic analyzer, and embedded software trouble-shooting
  • Work collaboratively with teams inside and outside of Amazon

Requirements For Embedded Software Dev Engineer, Kuiper Team

Linux
Rust
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with real-time embedded software practices
  • Expertise with Linux and RTOS
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee/asylee due to export control laws
