Description For Kuiper Payload System Characterization Software Engineer, Characterization and Operation for Payload System

Amazon's Project Kuiper is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their Characterization and Operation for Payload System (COPS) team. This role focuses on build systems and tooling, where you'll work with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to implement CI/CD, develop automation tools, and integrate frameworks for large-scale embedded software development.

As a key member of the COPS team, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining system analyzer tools, developing automation solutions for data generation and simulation, and implementing developer interfaces to streamline workflows. You'll work closely with teams across Project Kuiper to integrate various software packages and subsystems, playing a crucial role in the development and deployment of satellite communication systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming skills in C/C++, experience with build systems and automation tools, and familiarity with embedded software development. Knowledge of RF lab equipment and multiple programming languages is a plus. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $129,300 to $223,600 based on location, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.
