Legal Data Engineer, Legal Data & Business Intelligence

Amazon Legal Technologies is seeking a Data Engineer to join their software development team that builds tools for Amazon Legal. This role focuses on creating data pipelines, managing data warehouses, and supporting business intelligence engineers who build dashboards and reports for Amazon Legal. The position requires expertise in data warehousing, ETL, and infrastructure development.

The role is part of the Legal Data & Business Intelligence team, a specialized unit supporting Amazon's Legal department. You'll be responsible for onboarding new data sources, evolving the current architecture, and working with various teams with different technical abilities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity, detail-oriented, and driven by innovation.

Key technical aspects include working with AWS technologies, handling confidential departmental data, and ensuring system performance and availability. You'll collaborate closely with BI engineers and business analysts, supporting them in data presentation and metrics reporting at all organizational levels.

The compensation is competitive, ranging from $118,900 to $205,600 based on geographic location, with additional benefits including medical coverage and other perks. The role requires significant experience in data engineering, SQL, and data warehousing, with preferred experience in AWS technologies and modern programming languages.
