Amazon Lab126 is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II to join their Multimedia team working on cutting-edge consumer devices. As part of the team that created the Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV, and Amazon Echo, you'll help build next-generation media technologies for Amazon's device ecosystem.
The role focuses on multimedia and streaming framework development within FireOS/Android and Linux/GStreamer environments. You'll be responsible for implementing new features and enhancements for various media player engines including Android, ExoPlayer, and Amazon's proprietary media player. These developments support a wide range of products including Kindle Fire Tablets, Amazon FireTV, Amazon Echo, Amazon Music/Video, Alexa and Smart Home devices.
As a strong customer advocate, you'll own media technologies end-to-end, working with both internal and external partners to deliver best-in-class devices. You'll have significant impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of products used daily by millions of customers.
