Network Development Engineer, AWS Network Development

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters. The position focuses on delivering simple, sustainable, and repeatable solutions for next-generation IP networks.

The role sits within the Availability, Routing and Compliance (ARC) team, responsible for ensuring network security compliance and maintaining optimal performance during both planned and unplanned events. You'll work with cutting-edge network technologies, collaborating with diverse teams across AWS to maintain the highest standards of network infrastructure.

As a Network Development Engineer, you'll be responsible for implementing network changes, working with automation teams, leading network projects, and providing critical support for large-scale networking events. The role requires expertise in network routing, interconnectivity, and configuration, along with Unix systems knowledge and networking software tools.

AWS offers a comprehensive compensation package, including competitive base pay ranging from $127,400 to $212,800 depending on location, plus equity opportunities and extensive benefits. The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation and occasional travel to data center sites.
