Network Development Engineer, AWS Network Development

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters.

The position involves working with the Core Networking team, focusing on building Data Centers and the network infrastructure that enables efficient operations. The role requires balancing efficiency, performance, and reliability to ensure customer access to applications and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement network changes
• Work with automation teams on scaling tools
• Lead network projects in sustaining engineering, deployment, and optimization
• Provide critical network support for AWS customers
• Troubleshoot network routing, interconnectivity, and configuration issues
• Drive innovation from Top of Rack to Network Border
• Collaborate with Network/Infrastructure teams on standards and tools
• Maintain networking toolset standards and compliance
• Create and review technical documentation

The role is part of the Availability, Routing and Compliance (ARC) team, responsible for ensuring network security compliance and maintaining customer performance during network events. Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years in network-focused technical roles
• Experience with IP routing protocols and large-scale networks
• Strong background in network engineering and operations
• Automation skills with Bash/shell scripting and Python/Perl
• Experience in on-call technical support and incident response
