AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Network Fabric Engineering (NFE) team, specifically within the Availability, Routing and Compliance (ARC) team. This role is crucial in building, deploying, and scaling Amazon networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters.

The position combines network engineering expertise with software development skills to ensure the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks. You'll be working with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, focusing on maintaining and improving the CLOS datacenter networks while ensuring security compliance and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities include implementing network changes, developing automation tools, leading network projects, and providing critical support for large-scale networking events. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology, from Top of Rack to Network Border systems, while maintaining high standards for network security and compliance.

  • Create and implement changes on the network
  • Work with automation teams to define scaling tools
  • Lead network projects in sustaining engineering and implementation
  • Sustain AWS next generation networks
  • Operate and troubleshoot network routing and configurations

Requirements For Network Development Engineer, CLOS Fabric Engineering - Availability, Routing and Compliance

  • 4+ years experience in network focused hands-on technical role with IP routing protocols/technologies
  • 4+ years experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms for IP networks
  • 4+ years experience in technical on-call capacity
  • 1+ years experience in automation via Bash/shell scripting and Perl/Python programming
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, Server Load Balancing
  • Experience with router platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel-Lucent, Arista, etc.
