Description For Network Development Engineer, DX Operations, DX Operations

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their team responsible for the AWS Direct Connect service - a critical component connecting AWS to major customers worldwide. This role combines network engineering with Unix systems expertise to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions for next-generation IP networks.

The position involves working on one of the world's largest and most complex networks, currently available in over 100 locations across 70 cities in 30 countries. You'll be responsible for deploying, scaling, and automating network infrastructure while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.

As a Network Development Engineer, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions from concept to production. The role requires strong technical skills in IP routing protocols, network security, and Unix/Linux systems. You'll create and maintain network standards, implement changes, and work closely with automation teams to develop scaling tools.

AWS offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive base pay ranging from $102,700 to $185,000 depending on location, plus equity, sign-on payments, and full medical/financial benefits.
