Responsibilities For Network Development Engineer, InfraComms: Backbone/Interconnect

  • Provide critical network operations support to internal customers
  • Troubleshoot network problems including L1/WDM issues, latency spikes, and BGP routing
  • Conduct data acquisition for service assurance and performance management
  • Develop automation mechanisms for supplier engagement
  • Track and manage RFOs for chronic circuits
  • Work with carriers to adapt their ticketing system APIs
  • Create and review documentation and processes
  • Automate repeatable networking tasks
  • Deliver regular network performance reports

Requirements For Network Development Engineer, InfraComms: Backbone/Interconnect

Linux
Python
  • 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
  • 4+ years of working in Linux/Unix environment experience
  • 4+ years of optical transport (L1/WDM) experience
  • Experience with automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl (preferred)
