Network Development Engineer, InterDC services

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Network Development Engineer to join their Inter-DC & Optical team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining the networks that support AWS across multiple global datacenters. The InterDC Optical Services team manages a network handling >10Pbps of inter-data center traffic over >30k devices worldwide. You'll be responsible for the development, delivery, and lifecycle support of optical products used to interconnect AWS Data Centers and PoPs, ensuring supply diversity and optimizing data transfer costs.

As a Network Development Engineer, you'll work on cutting-edge network technologies, from Top of Rack to Network Border. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in on-call rotations, and drive automation initiatives to scale operations efficiently. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic planning, requiring both deep networking expertise and business acumen.
