Responsibilities For Network Development Engineer, Internet Edge

  • Provide critical network operations support to Amazon.com customers
  • Contribute to operational on-call rotating roster
  • Operate and troubleshoot network routing, inter-connectivity, platforms, performance, and configurations issues
  • Work with automation teams in defining scaling tools
  • Work with Network/Systems & Software Engineering teams for deployment and sustaining networking software tools
  • Maintain networking toolset standards and ensure compliance
  • Drive event deep dives for large-scale events
  • Improve detection mechanisms
  • Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes
  • Collaborate with highest tier escalation engineers/resolvers
  • Create and maintain scripts and tools for automation

Requirements For Network Development Engineer, Internet Edge

Linux
Python
  • 4+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
  • 4+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
  • Associate's degree
  • 3+ years professional experience working in large scale networking environments
  • Experience with network operating systems such as Cisco IOS and Junos (preferred)
  • 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl (preferred)
