Amazon Robotics, the global leader in robotics innovation, is seeking a PLM Systems Development Engineer to join their Continuous Improvement & Automation team. This role combines engineering expertise, problem-solving, and innovation to support the development of next-generation robots. The position focuses on implementing best-in-class system and business processes within a complex PLM and Supply Chain environment.

The role requires strong programming skills in PL/SQL, Java, Unix, Python, and WebServices, working cross-functionally with global teams across Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, and Engineering. The engineer will be responsible for supporting PLM data initiatives, automating software updates, designing scalable solutions, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities For PLM Systems Development Engineer, Global Robotics Delivery

  • Support PLM data-mart and data hub initiatives for Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing
  • Design and maintain automated solutions for testing, alerting and monitoring
  • Work with cross-functional teams on automation initiatives
  • Design experiments to characterize system performance
  • Mentor others in technical understanding of systems
  • Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems
