Amazon MGM Studios (AMS) Production Technology Engineering is seeking a Production Workflow Engineer (PWE) who will drive the adoption of cloud-based production and post-production workflows. This role combines technical expertise with media industry knowledge to revolutionize content creation processes.

The position requires deep understanding of both cloud technologies and media production workflows. You'll work at the intersection of creative tools and cloud infrastructure, helping transform traditional media workflows into modern cloud-based solutions. The role involves significant interaction with stakeholders across the media production ecosystem, from creative professionals to technical teams.

As a PWE, you'll be responsible for implementing and optimizing workflows for dailies, editorial, conform, color, and mastering processes in the cloud. You'll work with cutting-edge tools like Avid Media Composer, Blackmagic Resolve, and AWS services, while ensuring industry security standards are maintained. The role requires both technical depth and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between creative and technical teams.

Responsibilities For Production Workflow Engineer, Production Technology Engineering

  • Drive adoption of cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering)
  • Educate customers and partners about Studio's creative workflows
  • Work with vendors to validate and integrate local workflow with the cloud
  • Build and deploy workflows
  • Act as primary contact for internal stakeholders and end-customers
  • Communicate requirements and issues to product and engineering team
  • Lead engagements with management and post leadership

Requirements For Production Workflow Engineer, Production Technology Engineering

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas experience
  • Production technology and media/entertainment experience
  • Expertise in content creation tools like Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS Blackmagic Resolve
  • Experience deploying workflows following industry content security standards
  • Expertise in AWS Services like EC2, S3, Route53, VPC
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
