Quality Assurance Engineer, Central Shopping Experience

The Core Shopping Experience team at Amazon builds products and services that solve unique customer needs in Amazon's fastest growing marketplace. This role is part of the rekindle returnship program and focuses on quality assurance engineering for Amazon's mobile and web shopping experiences. The team works on a multi-billion dollar business with huge growth potential, using technologies including AWS and Android to build highly scalable, low latency mobile-first products.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring software quality for Amazon.in's shopping experience, with particular emphasis on mobile applications, payments, and e-commerce website development. You'll work with Principal Engineers to evolve product design and architecture while setting and maintaining high software quality standards.

The role involves testing applications that directly impact Amazon.in's business, owning quality for critical system components, and managing project plans and delivery commitments. You'll also contribute to reducing latency by optimizing network performance and adapting UX based on bandwidth considerations.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a team that obsesses about customer experience performance in a fast-paced, exploratory environment. You'll be part of a dynamic group tackling significant technical challenges while working on Amazon's Mobile Shopping App and key retail website pages.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in both automated and manual testing, with knowledge of frameworks like Selenium or Appium being highly valuable. You'll be expected to gather test requirements, create detailed test plans, and define quality metrics to measure product success.
