Quality Assurance Engineer I, FireTV Product QA

Amazon Lab126, an innovative R&D subsidiary of Amazon.com, is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer I for their FireTV Product QA team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about shaping the future of television entertainment through Amazon's popular FireTV platform.

As a QAE, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality of features in our development pipeline through both automated and manual testing approaches. You'll work with cutting-edge applications and products, testing at both user and code levels. The role requires someone who can understand software internals, debug using log files, and write automated tests.

You'll be joining the team behind Amazon FireTV products - the #1 best-selling Amazon devices that are among the most innovative and fastest-growing products in the consumer electronics industry. Working closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members, you'll own the entire testing process from strategy to execution. This includes authoring test plans, executing test cases, reporting and verifying defects, and signing off on features and release candidates. You'll also have the opportunity to propose and implement improvements to our existing processes and automated tools to enhance team efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation and testing, with strong knowledge of core software testing techniques. You should be an excellent individual contributor capable of taking up tasks from start to completion with minimal help, and have the ability to understand complex domains and products in detail.
